an after school club for young picture book makers!
Launched in October ‘22, Illustrious Illustrators is an after-school club for 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders to create collaborative picture books. I provide the story and my brilliant students provide the illustrations! Over eight weeks, club members examine mentor texts and artist portfolios to find artistic inspiration.
Our debut project is entitled Og, a decodable reader starring a green ogre, his floofy dog, and their happy-go-lucky frog. All is well in the bog, until the weather changes…
